We want to find inspirational chefs genuinely passionate about cooking great local Welsh produce and nurturing the team around them.

Penmaenuchaf is a small luxury hotel and regarded as one of the finest privately-owned country house hotels in North Wales. Overlooking the Mawddach Estuary, at the foot of Cadair Idris in Snowdonia National Park, the 14-bedroom hotel is also home to an excellent restaurant that is also renowned for a wonderful wine list. The hotel was awarded a prestigious Michelin Key in 2024.

We are now looking for a passionate and dedicated Sous Chef who is passionate about being part of a team that is striving to become a nationally recognised destination for food lovers.

What we offer:

• Excellent package up to £42,000 including Gratuities.
• Gratuities evenly through a Tronc system, currently amounting to appx 4k per annum for this position.

A successful candidate will ideally have: 

• Sound experience in a quality kitchen environment at multiple rosette level.
• Clear passion for the industry and food.
• Natural ability as a chef with outstanding attention for detail.
• Real ambition to succeed at the highest level.
• Dedicated and excellent team player with a natural ability to lead.

We are now looking for a passionate and dedicated waiter/waitress to join on a part time basis who is passionate about food and honest hospitality.

• Hourly rate of up to £12.35 per hour.
