Penmaenuchaf is a small luxury hotel, acquired by Seren in the summer of 2022. Seren is a unique collection of high-quality hospitality venues in Wales, privately owned by Neil and Zoe Kedward. Seren includes the highly acclaimed 5 AA Red Star hotel Grove of Narberth hotel and its 4 AA Rosette Fernery Restaurant, Michelin-starred Beach House Restaurant in Oxwich and Lan y Mor Restaurant in Saundersfoot.

Penmaenuchaf is highly regarded and seen as one of the finest privately-owned country house hotels in Wales. Overlooking the Mawddach Estuary, at the foot of Cadair Idris in Snowdonia National Park, the charming 14-bedroom hotel is also home to an excellent restaurant that is also renowned for a wonderful wine list.

Since acquisition, a full refurbishment programme has been completed with the highly regarded designer Nicola Harding overseeing the interior design of the hotel.  The design is inspired by our location in this most beautiful part of Wales. Likewise, Penmaenuchaf has been awarded a Michelin key since 2024 and joined POB hotels in 2025.

The successful candidate will help the team continue its journey towards becoming a nationally recognised destination as, has already been achieved at our sister properties.

We are now looking for a hands-on and dedicated Hotel Manager for a fixed-term appointment to provide temporary maternity cover for an existing employee. The position is expected to commence in January 2027 and is anticipated to be for approximately 6 months, subject to the maternity leave arrangements of the employee being covered.   Upon the return of our Hotel Manager, we would, where possible, work with the appointed temporary manager to explore suitable alternative opportunities within Penmaenuchaf or elsewhere within the Seren Collection.

• Package up to £56k including a share of non-contractual tronc.
