Current Opportunities at Beach House

Since opening its doors in 2016, Beach House has been recognised as one of the leading fine dining restaurants in Wales. Head Chef Hywel Griffith is passionate about using local produce – such as lobster from Oxwich Bay and Gower Salt Marsh lamb – to create memorable dishes that showcase the full flavour of produce from across Wales and on the doorstep in the Gower.

The restaurant has been awarded a prestigious Michelin Star, 3 AA Rosettes and AA Restaurant of the Year for Wales, and it remains a much-loved destination for food lovers from all over the UK.

Restaurant Manager – Full Time caret-down

We want to find an inspiring leader who is an expert at providing world-class hospitality and has a passion for food, wine and people.

Our Beach House Restaurant is situated on the iconic dune-backed beach at Oxwich Bay in the most renowned Gower Peninsula, an area designated for its outstanding beauty.  The Beach House is well established as one of the leading restaurants in Wales, having held a prestigious Michelin Star since 2018.

The Chef & Restaurant Director, Hywel, is now looking for a passionate and talented Restaurant Manager to lead the passionate and talented front-of-house team on the next stage of our exciting journey.

What we offer:

  • Package up to £48,000, including Gratuities.
  • Gratuities are shared evenly through a Tronc system and currently amount to 10k to 12k per annum per employee.

A successful candidate will ideally have: 

  • Restaurant management experience at a 1 Michelin star or 4 AA Rosette level and above.
  • Genuine and sincere nature with a real passion for customer service and hospitality.
  • Excellent knowledge on food and drink including trends.
  • Natural confidence and first-class interpersonal skills.
  • Brilliant team player able to lead and inspire the team by setting the example on the floor.
  • A resilient nature with an ability to work calmly under pressure.
  • Proven record to resolve guest issues calmly and effectively.
  • Immaculate presentation and a friendly yet professional personality.

Senior Chef de Partie – Full Time caret-down

We want to find enthusiastic and talented chefs genuinely passionate about cooking great local Welsh produce.

 

Our Beach House Restaurant is situated on the golden sandy beach of Oxwich Bay on the famous and stunning Gower Peninsula. The is established as one of the leading restaurants in Wales, having been awarded AA Restaurant of the Year for Wales, a prestigious Michelin Star and 3 AA rosettes. The restaurant is now looking for a passionate and talented Senior Chef de Partie to join our Chef Director, Hywel Griffith, and his team.

 

What we offer:

  • Package up to £39,000 including Gratuities.
  • Gratuities are shared evenly through a Tronc system and currently amounts to 10k to 12k per annum per employee.
  • 4 day working week.
  • Extra days worked paid.
  • Christmas day closed, January closure and 1 week closure in the summer.
  • Individual Training and development plan for all staff.
  • Discretionary annual employee profit share programme.
  • Generous 30% staff discount off food and beverage at Beach House Oxwich and its sister businesses Coast Saundersfoot and Grove of Narberth.
  • £75 staff rate and £190 Friends and Family room rate at the Grove of Narberth.
  • £50 Staff rate and £150 Friends and Family room rate at Penmaenuchaf Hotel.

A successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Sound experience at 3 AA Rosette or 1 Michelin star environment as a Senior Chef de Partie or Chef de Partie looking for the next step up.

  • Natural ability as a chef with outstanding attention for detail.
  • Real ambition to succeed at the highest level.
  • Dedicated and excellent team player with coaching mentality.

Our Restaurant Manager, Christie, is now looking for a passionate and talented  Head Waiter/Head Waitress to join the team.

  • Package up to £36,000, including gratuities and pension.
