Penmaenuchaf is a small luxury hotel, and is highly regarded as one of the finest privately-owned country house hotels in North Wales. Overlooking the Mawddach Estuary, at the foot of Cadair Idris in Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, the 14-bedroom hotel is also home to an excellent restaurant that is renowned for its wonderful wine list.

Penmaenuchaf was acquired by Seren in 2022.

Sommelier & Bar Manager – Full Time caret-down

SOMMELIER & BAR MANAGER

We want to find an enthusiastic individual with a genuine passion for world wines

Penmaenuchaf is a small luxury hotel, and is part of ‘Seren’, a unique collection of high-quality hospitality venues in Wales. The hotel is highly regarded as one of the finest privately-owned country house hotels in North Wales. Overlooking the Mawddach Estuary at the foot of Cadair Idris in Snowdonia National Park, the 14-bedroom hotel is also home to an excellent restaurant that is also renowned for its wonderful wine list.

Seren currently includes the 5 AA Red star and 4 AA rosette Grove of Narberth hotel, Michelin starred Beach House Restaurant in Oxwich and the 3 AA rosette Coast Restaurant in Saundersfoot.

We are now looking for a passionate and dedicated Sommelier & Bar Manager who is passionate about wine.

What we offer:

  • Package up to £33k including Gratuities and Pension.
  • Gratuities are shared through Tronc system and this role enjoys £3k per annum.
  • Company pension provided through NEST.
  • Eligible to be part of Seren Employee Profit Share Scheme.

A successful candidate will ideally have: 

  • Passion for world wine and spirits.
  • Passionate about offering a sincere customer experience.
  • Experience as a sommelier in a similar fine dining environment.
  • Resilient and hard-working.
  • Great people skills.

Chef de Partie – Full Time caret-down

The hotel is highly regarded as one of the finest privately-owned country house hotels in North Wales. Overlooking the Mawddach Estuary, at the foot of Cadair Idris in Snowdonia National Park, the 14-bedroom hotel is also home to an excellent restaurant that is also renowned for a wonderful wine list.

Seren currently includes the 5 Red star and 4 AA rosette Grove of Narberth Hotel, Michelin-starred Beach House Restaurant in Oxwich and the 3 AA rosette Coast Restaurant in Saundersfoot.

We are now looking for a passionate and dedicated Chef de Partie who is passionate about being part of a team that is striving to become a nationally recognised destination for food lovers under the expert guidance of our Head Chef, Thomas Hine.

What we offer:

  • Excellent package up to £34,000, including Gratuities.

Penmaenuchaf is a small luxury hotel, recently acquired by Seren, a unique collection of high-quality hospitality venues in Wales. The hotel is highly regarded as one of the finest privately-owned country house hotels in North Wales. Overlooking the Mawddach Estuary at the foot of Cadair Idris in Snowdonia National Park, the 14-bedroom hotel is also home to an excellent restaurant that is also renowned for its wonderful wine list.

Seren currently includes the 5-star Grove of Narberth Hotel, Michelin-starred Beach House Restaurant in Oxwich, Coast Restaurant and Kiosk café in Saundersfoot.

We are now looking for a passionate and dedicated waiter/waitress to join on a part-time basis who is passionate about leading the team by example and helping guide the restaurant to become a nationally recognised destination for food lovers.

What we offer:

  • Hourly rate of up to £11.50 per hour.
  • Gratuities evenly shared through Tronc system. .
  • Pension provided through NEST.
