Penmaenuchaf is a small luxury hotel, and is part of ‘Seren’, a unique collection of high-quality hospitality venues in Wales. The hotel is highly regarded as one of the finest privately-owned country house hotels in North Wales. Over looking the Mawddach Estuary, at the foot of Cadair Idris in Snowdonia National Park, the 14-bedroom hotel is also home to an excellent restaurant that is also renowned for a wonderful wine list.

Seren currently includes the 5 Red star and 4 AA rosette Grove of Narberth hotel, Michelin starred Beach House Restaurant in Oxwich and the 3 AA rosette Coast Restaurant in Saundersfoot.

We are now looking for a passionate and dedicated Demi Chef de Partie or Chef de Partie to join the Penmaenuchaf team.

What we offer:

Role Summary

As our Maintenance Technician you will play a key role in ensuring Penmaenuchaf remains safe, welcoming and beautifully maintained both inside and out. Your responsibilities will include:

Property Maintenance

• Carrying out general building and property maintenance work including minor repairs, painting, carpentry and preventative upkeep
• Supporting the venue team with ad hoc maintenance tasks as required

Operational Responsibilities – Safely operating and maintaining equipment, tools and machinery – Following maintenance schedules and reporting completed work – Helping maintain a tidy and safe environment for both guests and staff

We are looking for someone who brings:

• Experience in grounds maintenance and general property maintenance
• Competence with machinery and hand or power tools
• Good problem solving and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A proactive and flexible approach
• Relevant qualifications, for example NPTC or trade certificates
• Previous experience within hospitality and grounds maintenance
