A land of longing

Perched high above the Mawddach estuary at the foot of the rugged Cadair Idris, you’ll find our stone-fronted Penmaenuchaf.

Inspired by the dramatic ancient landscape of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, this grand old house has its own beautiful history, and each room has its own unique and characterful appeal.

Adventure abounds in this land of longing, rich in tales of Welsh myth and legend as fantastical as the scenery in front of you.

Our management team

Head Chef Thomas Hine and Hotel Manager Louise Lewis (and her sidekick, Rory the labradoodle), are both long-term Seren family members who’ve worked across several of our businesses.

Tom previously held the role of Head Chef at Coast restaurant until 2020, and has worked at Grove of Narberth too, before moving back to Seren permanently in 2022 to lead the kitchen team at Penmaenuchaf.

Louise Lewis began her hospitality career at Grove in the reception team, working her way up to be the first Grove General Manager. She then moved into an executive role in the Seren team, before taking on the hotel manager role at Penmaenuchaf.
