Our first big project at Penmaenuchaf has started
We’re very excited to share that we’ve begun the new year with a bang, and have started the first phase of our renovations at Penmaenuchaf.
The hotel has now closed for its annual winter break and reopens on the 2nd of February. While we’re closed, work starts on fully refurbishing the top floor of the hotel, reconfiguring the five existing bedrooms to four more spacious rooms for visiting guests. We’re also extending and refurbishing the kitchen and front-of-house service areas, which the restaurant and kitchen teams are delighted about.
The changes are substantial and the design will respect the character of our historic Victorian house. You’ll enjoy scenic luxury, truly inspired by this land of longing overlooking the beautiful Mawddach estuary. The dramatic mountainscape that surrounds us will inspire the new interiors, creating a home-from-home experience for every one of you who joins us on your own adventure in this mythical setting.
We’re excited to share that acclaimed interior designer, Nicola Harding, and her team, have been appointed to lead the creative design at Penmaenuchaf. Nicola has a huge portfolio of residential and commercial work whilst also being a very experienced garden designer, and she’ll help inform our work for the years to come as we open up our historic gardens.
Our gentle upgrades will continue through until Easter, and we’ll share updates regularly. We can’t wait for you to see the progress.
